Egyptian Remembrance day

This is an invitation for all Egyptians inside and outside to make the 5th of June every year as the Egyptian Remembrance Day just like the British Remembrance Day to remember our POWs who were killed during the war . Let’s turn our defeat day in to a day to remember those who were killed in one of the modern history worst genocides.

Let’s go on this day with our children and in our hands an original Egyptian Red Rose that drunk from the water of the Nile and blossomed in the soil of Egypt to put it on the memorial of the unknown soldier memorial in Medinat Nasr and in every soldier memorial in every Goveronate in Egypt

Let’s put in our clothes a poppy lapel pin just like the British do , Let’s wear it for a week from the 5th of June to the 10th of June as a tribute ofpoppy respect to those Men who were killed away from their beloved one but not away from their home

Let’s make this day for the POWs ,it is not important to wait for the government recognition , already the government is still investigating all those years despite the survivals ,despite the mass graves , despite the eye witnesses and despite the confession of those who committed the crimes

We should not wait the government to remember the POWs , already I believe the governments all those years forgot them because We did , so We must remember them again , we must remember least we forget .

Let’s be the change we want to see in the world , let’s start this year with a small red lapel pin in our clothes , you and me may be the first two , but next year there will be 10 and the following year it will a poppy lapel pin with an official recognition from the people not from the government

I know that there is an already Egyptian remembrance day on the 9th of March , a tribute to the martyrs who died in war on the same day that General Abdel Munim Riad ,the commander of the Egyptian arm forces was killed on the Suez Canal front yet this day who seemed to be forgotten by all is not from the POWs , it is for the great fighters

We must remember the POWs and let the world know them and what happened

And we will do this by ourselves let’s this year and it is the 40th anniversary stop whinnying and blaming and do a real action , an action of a new generation who refuses to sit down and do nothing except repeating over and over the story to the mirror , not screaming out of the window

A red lapel pin won’t cost nothing at all whether from time or cost , it is smallest nothing to those men who paid the cost of their lives for this country
