A new president and an old closed file

Today marks the 47th anniversary of the Six day war  “The 1967 war” in the Middle East , a war that changed the course of the region forever and as usual the Egyptian POWs file is always brought up shortly for the bitter memory.

Next Sunday a new elected president will swear in , this new president is former Field Marshal Abdel Fattah El-Sisi whom is regarded in the eyes of many as the New Nasser so one must wonder if the file of Egyptian POWs will be opened in his term as a president or it will be ignored like in times of Mubarak and Morsi.

I hope that the file of the Egyptian POWs that were killed and mistreated in 1967 is brought up this year and is not forgotten because of the presidential inauguration next Sunday.

No News No Bad News

Dostor newspaper whether daily or weekly has not published anything new information or follow up the Egyptian POWs file they opened in last May 2010.

At first I thought it had to do with the instabilities happening in the last couple of months at North of Sinai so I asked Wael Mamdouh and he told me that there was nothing new to add which is true to be realistic , the update should come from the public opinion.

Amidst all the problems and crises Egypt is suffering from now , it seems that the POWs case is lost but not for too long because if anything I learned from this case is that it refuses to be forgotten.

The Israeli Media Reacts

In a very quick reaction the Israeli media began to comment on the Dostor’s report accusing the IDF of committing war crimes against the Egyptian POWs during the six days war. The Israeli media of course denied all these accusations and you can find many comments in Israeli news sites like Ynet News claiming that there were no mass graves found in Egypt despite the important fact Dostor report showed mass graves in video too !!

I am not surprised from this reaction despite the fact that the Israeli media is misleading the Israeli people because actually several IDF generals and historians have admitted by the crimes committed against the Egyptian POWs whether in 1956 or 1967 themselves before we ever speak.

BY the way there is news that the Israeli government is thinking in suing El Dostor for disturbing the Egyptian-Israeli Relations !!! If this happens then Al Dostor and Wael Mmdouh managed to hit the nerves of the Israeli government. All what I fear now is the graves found by Wael Mmdouh to be removed by the Egyptian regime.

Back Again online

To all my dear readers as you may have known this website was hacked last month and I had to restore back for weeks as I am not a 100% wordpress geek. I am very sorry if I cause any harm to your PC , it is out of my hand. This time thank God I got my lesson and security became one of the main priorities here. I promise with lots of updates and news in the coming days.
Again I repeat my apologize if I cause any risk to your PC

The court adjourns the Shaked Case again !!!

It is not something unexpected , in fact it is expected in the time of a regime that sit silently over the frequent attacks against our officers on the borders from the IDF , why would this regime care for POWs who were brutally murdered in 1967 in a cold bold. The North Cairo Court has  decided to adjourned the Rush Shaked case again for the next 12 October 2009

You won´t believe why the case has been adjourned again ; the judge did not come and thus from the administrative point the case should be adjourned !! That time there were new families joining Abu-Raya family in their quest to sue the Israeli government.

I do not know till when this case will be adjourned in this way.

The Start of the Naksa

Naksa was the term the Nasserite Regime used to describe the Six days war defeat to lessen its effect.
Naksa means in Arabic “Set-back” ,the word “Defeat” was not used then.
Today is the memorial of the Naksa , our own definition of the six days war. Today from 42 years ago a human tragedy has started in Sinai where innocent people were killed brutality against international and even human laws and moral.
Today fro 42 years ago the agony of the Egyptians POWs has started and up till now it has not finished yet.
It will finish when those who killed those innocent men are punished just like the international laws say so

What we can do ??

What can we do to the POWs in the 40th anniversary of the six days war ??

Well we may not able to make the Israeli government admit the guilt and the crimes they had committed against our men but we can do several other things

First we can make noise to let the world know

exactly what had taken place from 40 years in Sinai and Israel from war crimes against humanity and international laws

  1. you can take stories from here as you want “it will be nice if you link back”
  2. You can put in your website ,blog, forum signature a banner from the banners available in the Join us section.
  3. You can put a red rose tomorrow in your cloth ,or even a pin with a red head , anything red ,small one will do the job

Second we can make something for the POWs themselves , it is not that big but it is simple very simple

Just remember them in your prayer today , whether by reading just one chapter of the holy Quran or by lighting up one candle
